Remembrance ceremony Battle of Kemmel - Kemmel - 29/04/2016
In April 1918 the Germans tried once more to reach the coast and the ports. Therefore they wanted to break through the frontline from Wijtschate to Kemmel. Heavy fighting toook place at Mount Kemmel. In total 5.294 French dead soldiers are remembered on the French monument at the foot of Mount Kemmel. Only 57 have been identified.
