ENG: On August 19 Tank Memorial Ypres Salient was included within the famous Menin Gate Memorial last post ceremony.
Other organisations were likewise including the wonderful all female Lviv-choir from the Ukraine who sang beautiful patriotic hymns including their rousing national anthem. Interestingly 3 Ukrainians are also commemorated by this memorial; also present were the Artevelde Hogeschool (Gent) and the Scout Association UK

The TMYS inclusion was to commemorate 2 very special Tank Corps actions which took place in the Salient on August 19th & the 22nd 1917. These of course being the famous F Battalion F41 Fray Bentos singular tank action at Gallipoli farm and the so successful G Battalion's actions at the Cockcroft & Maison du Hibou strongpoints.
Loyal Friends of the TMYS Andre Cloet, Frank Mahieu, Liz Millward & Graham Morley presented the TMYS wreath whilst in the absence of our Standard Bearer Wayne Evans, Chairmman Chris Lock stood in for his duties. 
All in all I believe the TMYS collectively achieved what was required to ensure Tank Corps sacrifice is enhanced & never forgotten in Belgium.

NL: Op 19 augustus woonde de Tank Memorial Ypres Salient bij de Menenpoort de Last Post bij. Ook andere vertegwoordigingen waren aanwezig zoals Lviv-koor uit Oekraïne, de Artevelde Hogeschool en de Scout Association UK.
De TMYS deelname was ter herenking van 2 zeer bijzondere Tank Corps acties die plaatsvonden op 19 en 22 augustus 1917. Het ging om de beroemde F41 Fray Bentos tank van het F Bataljon nabij Gallipoli Farm (St. Juliaan) en de zeer succesvolle acties van het G Bataljon nabij Cockcroft & Maison du Hibou versterkingen. 
Trouwe vrienden van de TMYS  Andre Cloet, Frank Mahieu, Liz Millward & Graham Morley legden de TMYS krans neer terwijl voorzitter Chris Lock de TMYS deed het eerbetoon met de standaard gezien de afwezigheid van de standaarddrager Wayne Evans.
Op deze wijze werd herdacht de TMYS passend het offer van het Tank Corps destijds hier in Belgë, en wordt het nooit vergeten.
