Soldier Léon Bécuwe of the 76th Territorial Infantry Regiment died on 7 November 1915. In 1970 the 120 graves of French soldiers on the cemetery of Roesbrugge were removed and the remains of the soldiers were transferred to Roeselare. On request of the family of Léon Bécuwe (originally from the north of France), his grave remained at Roesbrugge.
