On Sunday, August, 5th, 2012, the national commemoration for King Albert I and the heroes of the IJzer took place at Nieuwpoort at the monument for the King.

Op zondag 5 augustus 2012 vond de nationale herdenkingsplechtigheid voor Koning Albert I en de helden van de IJzer plaats. Deze herdenking had plaats aan het Albert I-monument te Nieuwpoort.
