Christmas Truce Monument - Mesen - 24/12/2014
The British artist Andy Edward designed a monument representing the Christmas Truce of 1914. A German and a British solider great each other. The polyster model of the monument arrived at Messines on 24/12/2014 and remains on the market place for a few weeks. Then it will travel throughout Europe. On June 7th, 2015 the model will end its European journey at the soccer game between Ireland and England in Dublin.

If the artist finds the necessary money, it's his intention to make a bronze copy of the monument and to donate it to the people and city of Mesen.
