Launch of Nga Tapawae Sign – The New Zealand Heritage Trail - Mesen - 03/10/2015
New Zealand Memorial Park - Messines
Unveiling on Saturday, 3 October 2015 by NZ Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage Maggy Barry

Ngā Tapuwae - "the footsteps" is a New Zealand Government project that aims to help people gain a better understanding of New Zealand’s involvement in the First World War. It consists of trails that follow in the New Zealand soldiers' footsteps, including in Belgium. It will allow New Zealanders and others to see the locations where New Zealand soldiers fought and learn the stories behind those places. At important points in the trail there will also be marker signs, and the NZ Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage unveiled one such sign at the New Zealand Memorial Park at Messines on 3 October 2015.
