Rededication Service for Rflm. Willam Evans at Blauwe Poort Fm. Cem. (Mahieu Frank) - Zillebeke - 17/10/2017

Op dinsdag 17 oktober 2017 vond er een herbegrafenis plaats voor Rifleman Wiliam D. Evans of The King's (Liverpool Rgt.), gestorven op 28 April 1915, en begraven op Blauwepoort Farm Cemetery (Zillebeke, Ieper).
A Rededication Service was held on Oct. 17 2017 for (Rifleman Wiliam D. Evans of The King's (Liverpool Rgt.), killed 28 April 1915, buried at Blauwepoort Farm Cemetery (Zillebeke, Ypres), 17 October 2017. Service attended by relatives of this fallen soldier.

He was born in 1892 in Everton as foruth child of the family.
He was educated at Liverpool College. Prior to the war he
was employed as a clerk with a marine insurance company.
He enlisted in November 1914 with the
Liverpool Brigade West Lancashire Division. Once in France he
joined the 15th Brigade of the 5th Division.
On 28 April 1915, having served 173 days, he ws killed and buried at
Blauwepoort Farm Cemetery (Zillebeke). The grave was lost later in
the war.
