A burial service was held on Friday 15 July for an unknown Australian soldier at 2:30 pm (local time) at Tyne Cot Cemetery (Passendale).

The service was organised by the Australian Defence Forces and attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public were welcome to attend.
