Passchendaele Ceremony with torch parade - Passendale - 10/11/2022
10/11/2022 - Passendale
Canadian troops captured the ruins of Passchendale on 10 November 1917. It was the end of the Battle of Passchendaele.
On 10 November 2022 the ‘Passchendaele Ceremony’ remembered the end of the battle and all victims of all nationalities. The ceremony started at 18.00 with a moment of reflection at the Canadian Memorial Crest Farm. This was followed by a parade with torches along the Canada avenue. The parade followed the same traject as the last hundreds of metres of the battle and ended at the church of Passendale.
