Unveiling remembrance plaque VC Thomas Witham - Langemark - 12/09/2015
On Saturday, 12th September 2015, the unveiling of a memorial placque for VC Thomas Whitham took place at Langemark. On 31st July 1917, during the first day of the 3rd Battle of Ypres, he captured a number of German bunkers and succeeded in eliminating a German machine gun. This prevented the death of a lot of British soldiers.

The unveiling was an initiative of the Thomas Whitham VC Memorial Fund.
