German remembrance garden inaugurated - Zonnebeke - 29/10/2015

In april 2014 a new park opened auround the chateaux grounds in Zonnebeke: the theme Passchendaele Memorial Park. In this park / garden, seven remembrance gardens have been installed in the symbolic form of a poppy. These gardens are now being completed and arranged by the different nations that toook part in the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917.
On Thursday, 29 October 2015 the german remembrance garden opened as the first garden. For this occasion, Mr Rüdiger Lüdeking, the german Ambassador, came to inaugurate the garden.
