Menin Road - Ypernstrasse - Wervik - 20/01/2014
On Monday, January, 20th, 2014 the mayors of Ieper, Wervik, Menen and Zonnebeke signed the agreement to collaborate on the project 'Menin Road - Ypernstrasse'. The road from Ieper to Menen played an important and strategic role during the Great War. Nor the Germans nor the Commonwealth troops reached their goals: Ieper or Menen. The project has a historical part (publication) and a artistic part with artists and literature.
