On Saturday 29 April 2023 the inauguration of the project 'Witnesses in the landscape' took place in the info-centre of the
Commonwealth War Graves Commission in the Menenstraat in Ieper (near the Menin Gate).
Geert Bekaert, area director of the CWGC, welcomed minister Zuhal Demir, minister for Tourism in Flanders.
Nathalie Dumon (below) gave more information on the project 'Witnesses in the landscape' which the Commonwealth War Graves Commission realized in the global project '
Landscapes'.
Time for the unveiling of the info window.
As you move the info window on the wall, new other information is offered each time.
The CWGC also made a brochure for 22 military cemeteries which you can discover through the brochure.
