Four unknown World War One Soldiers to be buried at New Irish Farm Cemetery

Four unknown Word War One British Soldiers whose remains were discovered during an archaeological dig are to be buried at New Irish farm Cemetery, near Ypres, West Vlaanderen, Belgium.



Of the four Soldiers, one is of the Kings Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB), one from the Rifle Brigade and one from the Royal West Kent Regiment. It is not known which unit the fourth Soldier served with. Their ranks and their dates of death are unknown.

The service will take place on Tuesday 5 April 2016 at 14:30 hours and will be attended by regimental and local representatives, and the MOD’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre.
